We are working with an elite global law firm hiring an AML Lawyer in Luxembourg.

Responsibilities
- Assist in clearing clients and matters to the relevant AML standards, where appropriate, and conducting risk-based ongoing monitoring.
- Contribute to an annual review of the firm’s global risk assessment on AML, sanctions, and related policies.
- Monitor general developments in economic crime in Luxembourg that may impact the firm.
- Assist in training the global AML team on AML standards and ensuring that all qualified lawyers undertake regular AML training.
- Act as the liaison with regulators on AML and sanctions issues, lead in those jurisdictions on AML and sanctions-related reporting and regulatory audits.
- Work closely with independent third-party auditors, relevant MLROs, and new business analysts to act as an escalation point for issues and methodically implement procedures.
- Support the relevant MLROs in filing suspicious activity reports and maintaining records about such reports.
Requirements
- A qualified lawyer in Luxembourg, with at least 4 years of experience at a major national or international firm.
- At least 2 years of experience working in the AML environment.
- Experience in dealing with decision-makers on sensitive and difficult issues.
