Edward Mount is collaborating with a top-tier law firm, based in Luxembourg, in the search of a Banking & Capital Markets Associate.
Their practice covers a full range of banking (debt finance, acquisition, fund finance, real estate finance, restructuring and enforcement of security interests) and capital markets transactions(securitizations, securities laws, structured finance, derivatives, corporate debt issuances and listings)
Responsibilities
- Conducting research and analysis, drafting of legal memoranda.
- Drafting of agreements and all types of other documents and various statements.
- Drafting of filings addressed to regulators.
- Communication with clients (via phone, e-mail).
- Providing direct assistance to partner on matters arising during day-to-day provision of legal services to leadinginternational and domestic corporate clients.
- Joining educational seminar and practice groups.
- Joining local and international industry bodies.
- Developing relationships with domestic and international clients.
- Communicating with Luxembourg and foreign authorities, preparing forms, and serving notice.
Requirements
- Ideally 3 to 6 years of PQE in a banking transactional or capital markets transactional and regulatory practice inLuxembourg.
- Outstanding communication and negotiation skills.
- Strong time management skills, ability to stay calm under pressure when juggling multiple projects.
- Proactive, resourceful, takes initiative.
- Fluency in English. French and/or German may be an asset.
